Displayed in the museum's magnificent Main Court—a recreation of a sixteenth-century Spanish Renaissance patio—the exhibition includes paintings from the sixteenth through twentieth centuries alongside objects from the Iberian Peninsula, Mexico, South America, and Asia, with several works exhibited for the first time in decades.

What to expect

Paintings representing religious figures, portraits, and abstract works hang under the arcade of the Main Court, while display cases in the center showcase important objects from across the Hispanic world, representing a small fraction of the museum's vast permanent collection.
