ANIMAL [a listening gym]

Jun 21, 2026 – Aug 9, 2026

Ash Fure's immersive sonic installation transforms gym equipment into sound sculptures that activate perception through the body's direct engagement with amplified frequencies and synchronized light.

Why go

Fure's decade-long practice foregrounds sound as a visceral physical force rather than passive backdrop; here, steel structures invite tactile interaction (pressing, leaning, lifting) while shifting light and spatialized audio exercise perception to its limits, creating collective experience through shared sensation rather than speech.

What to expect

An interactive installation of steel-clad sonic sculptures designed with architect Xavi L. Aguirre; visitors press, lean, and move through structures while amplified frequencies and synchronized light fields shift from total saturation to near darkness, from seismic bass to silence.
