Hosnedlová's first U.S. museum project, commissioned through the New Museum's ongoing partnership with Kvadrat to support emerging artists, spans the full height of the building's new Atrium Stair with intricate embroidery and material layering that interrogate labor, gender, and historical memory.

What to expect

A monumental site-specific installation visible across multiple floors (Lobby to Fourth Floor) featuring a sandstone and glass sculpture surrounded by a pelt-like flax-based textile form adorned with the artist's signature embroideries.
