A landmark work shown publicly at the Guggenheim for the first time, timed to the 2026 World Cup in North America. The installation pairs the artists' theatrical edit with raw camera footage, doubling the image to explore how collective memory shapes iconic celebrity.

What to expect

A 90-minute two-channel video projection screened continuously in the Peter B. Lewis Theater. One screen shows Gordon and Parreno's edited film of Zidane during the April 23, 2005 match at Santiago Bernabéu; the second displays raw footage from one of seventeen synchronized stadium cameras, occasionally synchronizing with the main projection.

Plan your visit

Open daily 10:30 am–5:30 pm. Members-only hours select Mondays 6–8 pm. The 90-minute piece plays on continuous loop during museum hours.
