Why go

Dryer was crucial to re-establishing painting in the 1980s alongside peers like Pat Steir and Susan Rothenberg, moving beyond the corner Minimalism and Conceptualism had driven modernism into. Her brief career—she died at 35 in 1992—has acquired mythic status; this posthumous exhibition spans her works from 1986 to 1992.

What to expect

Large-scale paintings in casein and acrylic on wood panels, many incorporating found metal objects, pulleys, and hardware; smaller works on paper including watercolors and collages displayed across two floors.
