NXTHVN Cohort 07 | Material Conditions of Becoming
Jun 25, 2026 – Jul 24, 2026

Seven NXTHVN Studio Fellows explore memory, cultural resilience, and interiority through painting, sculpture, screen printing, sound, and found materials.
Why go
The exhibition brings together emerging artists from NXTHVN's Cohort 07 examining how grief, labor, and cultural memory materialize across distinct practices—from Adeyemo's assemblages rooted in Afro-diasporic traditions to Olufani's sculptures tracing African ingredients through the transatlantic slave trade.
What to expect
A group show spanning painting, sculpture, screen printing, sound, collage, and textile work. Featured works include Chayse Sampy's recomposed figuration layering images and fabrics (72 x 82 inches), alongside pieces by S. Yemisi Adeyemo, Alexandra Bell, Benita Nnachortam, Masud Olufani, Haejin Park, and Kristopher Wright, each investigating themes
