Walter De Maria: The Singular Experience

Oct 19, 2025 – Jun 27, 2026

Walter De Maria exhibition at Le Bourget.

Why go

Truck Trilogy—three 1950s Chevrolet pickups fitted with geometric stainless-steel rods—is shown for only the second time ever, and first internationally. Curated by Donna De Salvo of Dia Art Foundation, the exhibition illuminates De Maria's decades-long fusion of hard fact with wonder, from his early percussion work in downtown New York to monument

What to expect

Large-scale sculptures including Truck Trilogy and 13, 14, 15 Meter Rows (1985), alongside drawings, films, and archival materials. The trucks—polished and stripped of function—stand as austere, geometric monuments; the stainless-steel rod installation reflects mathematical sequences and viewer movement.
